Description

Quality Engineering Manager

Monitor and audit day-to-day operations food processing plant in Indiana. Lead product/process improvement efforts. Work with R&D on product development and product testing initiatives. Document standard work practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Monitors daily results and operating practices of food processing plant. Produces periodic summary reports for management as required.
2. Understands and educates with respect to the Company's quality expectations
3. Tracks key quality performance indicators

4. Assist with transfat removal project
5. Perform food safety inspections at plant, co-manufacturing, warehouses, and suppliers
6. Facilitates regulatory/customer certification requirements for facility

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Corresponds with Marketing, Research & Development and Engineering
2. Develop corrective action plans for noncompliance to product specification
3. Documents Standard Operating Practices and Process/Product Flow

Requirements
Bachelors degree from an accredited college Engineering or Food Science preferred Must demonstrate skill at understanding and working with statistical process control Must demonstrate an ability to work well with other employees to implement control systems and solve process control problems. At least 5 years of experience in a food plant, food research or packaging environment
