Our client provides quality cooked meat (chicken and pork) and other food ingredients to industrial and foodservice customers for their RTE products, entrees or other further processing needs.
They have plants in the Western and Eastern Regions of the U.S. and they are looking for a talented sales professional to help fill up newly expanded production capabilities.
Requirements
Work out of home office (Denver area preferred, Cleveland good, but anywhere in middle of country okay) and travel extensively. Work closely with R&D and Production to meet and exceed customer expectations to match and/or develop new products. 10 years proven success selling meat, poultry and frozen foods, (or other food ingredients) to prepared food manufacturers and foodservice restaurants or other channels. Must have extensive technical background and capabilities... ...a degree in Food Science would be ideal. Call upon food manufacturers (such as General Mills, ConAgra, Nestl's, Stouffer/Hot Pockets, Kraft, etc) and sell custom manufacturing of meat components. Secure and write contracts for custom meat production. Must be skilled at negotiations and financial calculations. Great opportunity with a company that is growing in this tough economy!
