QA MANAGER (FLORIDA)

Our client offers a complete line of premium quality, real delicatessen products. From outstanding Corned Beef to Pastrami that is spiced to perfection, we set the standard others only attempt to emulate. Our expanded product line also includes hot dogs and assorted beef, turkey, and chicken lunch meats.

Looking for a skilled Quality Assurance professional from the protein category (RTE deli meat a plus) who is ready to become a QA Manager for this up and coming operation. Should have 4 to 5 years of experience in the meat industry. Work well with operations / production. Would be a plus if the candidate had formulation / R&D experience in hot dogs, brine, flavor profiles, lunchmeat, etc.

Requirements

- BS Degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology or other biological science.
- Min. 5 yrs. experience in a Quality Management position.
- Experience with writing and maintaining HACCPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and GMPs.
- Good communicatorboth written and oral.
- Knowledge of SPC techniques and third party audits.
- Familiarity with fully-cooked meat products highly desired.
- Familiarity with USDA/FSIS regulations and standards desirable.
