Karl Strauss Brewing Company is in search of an engaging and highly effective Vice President of the Brewery Restaurant Division to lead our 400 team members. This position is a member of KARLs senior management team and works directly with others to ensure that the Brewery Restaurant division is profitable and well-run.
The VP of the Brewery Restaurant Division will effectively define the course for the Brewery- Restaurants in accordance with the Karl Strauss Core Ideology and company strategy. In addition, focus will be on setting policies and procedures, establishing operational systems, and ensuring the brand identity and company vision are embraced within the Brewery Restaurants.
The VP of the Brewery Restaurant Division oversees the Brewery-Restaurant profit process and the Group Events & Banquets process,directly managing the Brewery Restaurant Operations Support team. This position is responsible for all management and decisions that define the operational standards of the Brewery-Restaurant division. Further, he/she is ultimately responsible for all personnel decisions and for running two profitable processes within the Brewery Restaurant division that conforms to legal and company standards. The VP of the Brewery Restaurant Division provides ongoing development to the brewery restaurant management teams, which includes overseeing recruiting, hiring, training and coaching employees on the Karl Strauss Brewing Co. Core Ideology, objectives, strategy and processes.

Requirements
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities o Minimum of 15 years experience within high-volume restaurants, 6-8 years of progressive experience in senior management. o Experience with building, opening and operating restaurant locations is preferred. o Regional management experience in a multi-unit restaurant company is necessary. o Strong culinary background and experience required. o BA/BS Required (MBA Preferred), preferably in Business or Hospitality. o Professional and proficient verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications, knowledge of back office and restaurant operational procedures, POS and general accounting practices. o Strong problem analysis and resolution skills, in addition to the ability to lead, develop and coach a team. Candidates must have hands-on entrepreneurial experience with a high level of independent judgment and decision-making skills. Must be a strong leader with exceptional communication skills in addition to system development and analytical capabilities.
