We are currently looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic Purchasing Department. Below are the job fuctions of this position.
1. Direct, manage, and oversee purchasing functions to meet business requirements in contracting and services. Provide leadership, direction, and procedure to organization and complete key Purchasing Dept. objectives. 2. Minimize acquisition costs for materials and services and negotiate and manage the administration of bids, purchase orders, and long term contracts related to ranch, hatchery, and feedmill capital purchases, as well as the areas of IT and services. 3. Challenge Operations staff to look at all aspects of a project costs, environmental, timing, etc. prior to making decisions, and encourage change from reactive to proactive thinking. 4. Oversee coordination and monitoring of cell phone business. 5. Provide planning, budgeting, and personnel development for the Office Services, Logo Shop, and Purchasing departments. 6. Direct and manage all groups to become more strategic within their given area, bringing greater value to the company and instruct and encourage professional advancement. 7. Compile and track prices and forecasts, recommend hedge strategies, and create company budget numbers for the energy category. 8. Provide management of Property Department functions to meet business objectives and recommend strategic property sales and purchases. 9. Negotiate and manage administration of property lease agreements and compile data for property tax and mining operation reporting.
Requirements
1. Degree in Business Administration or related field, MBA preferred. 2. Minimum seven to ten years work experience in procurement area. 3. Strong analytical skills and indepth knowledge of Public Utilities and Energy Markets. 4. Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of business law. 5. Experience in contract creation. 6. Broad knowledge of property management and strong accounting and tax knowledge. 7. Strong leadership skills with minimum 5 years supervisory experience. 8. Strong understanding of SAP system. 9. Good understanding of Agriculture Industry.
