Newly created opportunity due to expansion - Production Superintendent - Midwest location

Our client is a fully integrated poultry farming and processing company with over 2000 employees and 400 grower farms with multiple locations. They are committed to offering the high quality fresh, partially cooked, and frozen-for-export poultry products. An aggressively growing company looking to double in size and become a billion dollar company. The Production Superintendent will be responsible for managing and coordinating production operations for the Processing Teams ensuring that safety, quality, cost, service and employee relation needs are met. Provide leadership, motivation and guidance to Production Supervisors & Leads, while participating in Plant Leadership Team.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizes and manages daily operational requirements to consistently meet customer expectations, through on the floor involvement
Development and maintenance of employee development programs to ensure company needs are met relative to employee knowledge, training, and development
Establish and maintain communication throughout the operating environment, among and between staff and hourly employees
Direct supervision of production supervisors, leads, and hourly employees to include disciplinary action, performance assessment, communications
Set expectations, tracks results and manages accountability
Champion for company -wide safety programs and initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of supervisory experience with a significant level of responsibility with operations and personnel
Food Manufacturing experience poultry/meat industry preferred
Demonstrated leadership ability, and strong communication skills
Personal computer skills including MS Word and Excel
