Job Description

Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and repair all mechanical equipment
- Maintain and repair all heating and cooling systems, including chillers, boilers, refrigeration units, climate control, compressors, motors and pumps, plus all associated controls
- Perform tasks in electrical, ventilation and roofing
- Inspect building and equipment for needed repair / maintenance
- Keep accurate testing and maintenance records of all equipment
- Perform all proactive preventive maintenance as scheduled
- Identify conditions needing major repair and recommend corrective action
- Available for ON CALL duty on nights and weekends to address emergencies
- Coordinate work and materials with vendors or contract service personnel
- Ensure all seasonal equipment is maintained in a proactive manner
- Manage facility maintenance budget
- Manage spare parts inventory
- Deal directly with vendors and government agencies
- Develop and manage capital projects and work with Township officials
- Be able to wire and troubleshoot power and control circuits
- Evaluate and improve our processes for uptime and repeatability
- Evaluate downtime situations for root cause and suggest/implement improvements
- Evaluate potential risks to similar processes and develop work orders and plans to resolve issue
- Compiles records and data regarding maintenance projects and prepares reports for management on same

Job Requirements

Education/Experience
-BA preferred
-5 to 7 years’ experience working in a seasonal packaging and/or manufacturing equipment
-Knowledge of procedures for welding operations, tool and dye manufacture, machine shop operations, maintenance mechanical work, pipe fitting
-Extensive knowledge of maintenance techniques and repair procedures on general types of industrial equipment such as pumps, compressors, electric motors, fans, conveyor belts, air conditioning equipment, etc.
-Knowledge of maintenance techniques and repair procedures for equipment specific to the production of cement such as kilns, ball mills, air separators
-Design and drafting skills for structural steel, piping, general fabrication and layout of equipment
-Knowledge of construction techniques
