Job Description
Highland’s Food & Beverage Manager will report to the House Committee/Board of Directors and manage food and beverage operations and all related activities and services. A priority will be maintaining the club’s traditions while implementing events to stimulate interest and participation in club activities.




       Hire, train, motivate, evaluate and manage Food & Beverage staff in order to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives

       Conducting regular inventory of food and beverage and all other supplies, tracking actual usage against projections

       Placing regular orders for front-of-house as well as back-of-house needs

       Identifying and addressing causes on inventory discrepancies, such as unrecorded waste or theft

       Ensuring that all staff have the training for food handling work, based on federal, state and local requirements

       Creating and maintaining front and back-of-house staff schedules

       Working with kitchen, bar, and service leads to plan regular and special event menus and service plans

       Resolving customer complaints and vendor issues as needed

       Greeting and soliciting feedback from members and guest to maintain smooth day-to-day operation

       Serving as a team leader responsible for morale, communication, and group culture

       Required to work nights, weekends and holidays


In addition to these responsibilities, a F&B manager must be ready to step into any role in the business, from serving to cooking to washing dishes, as needed.
