Maintenance Manager

Des Moines, IA

$75-90K + bonus

Our food manufacturing client is actively searching for a Maintenance Manager in the Des Moines, IA area. This Maintenance Manager will be responsible for daily maintenance activities throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and practice all Department/Plant procedures.
  • Comply to plant safety, food safety, sanitation standards, and following all GMP guidelines.
  • Provide that workers are equipped with the information, instruction, training and supervision they need to work safety and efficiently.
  • Administer PPE as required and ensure workers are aware of correct usage and storage requirements.
  • Provide relevant knowledge of EHS issues.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years of leadership/supervisory experience in an industrial operation, maintenance or utilities operations is preferred.
• 2+ years working with Lean Manufacturing principles and activities.
• Background in installation, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment through troubleshooting required. Electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
• Able to diagnose and repair all mechanical power transmission equipment.
• Experienced in welding, sanitary welding, pipe fitting, soldering, rigging application and use of mechanical tools, hand and power tools.
• 480v 3 phase knowledge required and knowledge of NFPA 70E is preferred.
• Understanding of PLC and Allen Bradley a plus.
