Description: Our client is rapidly growing manufacturer in the processed meats business and needs a strong Quality Assurance Manager for their newest operating facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that is currently an assistant manager or supervisor to move up and take on their own facility. Responsibilities: As the QA Manager, you will oversee all quality and food safety programs for this 250+ person facility. Will have daily interaction with operations, supply chain and corporate QA for direction. Will oversee up to 8 staff members, including two supervisors, to which you will lead, train and mentor for future promotional opportunities. Has direct responsibility for continued implementation of food safety systems according to USDA FSIS standards.
Requirements: BS degree in food related program highly preferred. 5+ years in food manufacturing with at least 3 years of supervision experience. Must have a strong understanding of food safety systems, USDA processed meats standards and environmental controls. Must have the ability to mentor technicians and the supervisors for future promotions. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and electronically. Strong customer-centric approach is needed.
