Job Description

Portofino Ristorante & Lounge a (Private Club Member only) Restaurant in Longboat Key it is an inviting Trattoria-style atmosphere with a high gastronomy concept.

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager either from stand-alone restaurants, corporate restaurant settings or with Hotel experience. The Restaurant Manager will direct and meet restaurant financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing disaster plans.

ROLES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

        Be an Ambassador and present a professional image for the Resort

        Lead from the front and set the example

        Be the first and last point of contact of the members and guest

        Maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment for the guests' enjoyment at all times

 •   Ensure the best and most memorable dining experience, (first-class service)

        Supervising staff to ensure they are providing high-quality service and the needs of the guest are met

        Have comprehensive knowledge of P&L and all financial aspects of the job

        Have floor presence to ensure the guest are receiving 5 Star Service

        Responsible for the performance of the restaurant which includes personnel management, beverage and food quality and cost, and other services and operations, works closely with Director of Food & Beverage to review service standards and service

Job Requirements
• QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent customer service skills and a Positive attitude are required
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of POS systems, Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
• At least 2 years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience, including a minimum of 2 years in, fast paced, major luxury brand hotel or resort.
• Full-Service Hotel experience is required, strong knowledge of various brands
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
