Job Description
Sanitation Superintendent

New Ulm, MN

$70-80K + bonus

 

Our food manufacturing client is actively searching for a Sanitation Superintendent for their New Ulm, MN facility. This Superintendent is a Corporate Quality role that will support multiple sites and must adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in daily jobs and tasks.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Ensure all food safety and quality policies, procedures and guidelines are complied.

  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
  • Direct all sanitation procedures of 2 sites.
  • Work directly with chemical provider to address any identified corrective actions.
  • Validate, verify and monitor sanitation systems and requirements.
  • Provide research, guidance and technical support to plant control in areas of sanitation.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships and influence with operations, maintenance and engineering to drive food safety and sanitation objectives.
  • Manage sanitation programs and knowledgeable of the following:
    • Cleaning the entire facility to a microbiological level
    • Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
    • Environmental cleaning
    • End of cycle cleaning
    • Operational cleaning
    • Cross contamination and daily contamination
    • Special event cleaning-i.e. construction, incident response
    • Plant janitorial/housekeeping
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment.
• Certified sanitarian.
• Skilled in identifying sanitation problems and providing workable solutions.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in different plant locations.
• Able to work flexible hours (nights and weekends) as required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
